In which Mimi and Boppa come visit, we see a lot of snow and a couple of ice queens, Nathan does some work on the Portland house, and a skeleton shows up on Christmas.

November 2016

In which Nathan makes pancakes at a sad election party, we go to Portland and hear Indiana Jones with live music, Cheri and I decorate guitars for a fund raiser, and Nanna and Dar Dar come for Thanksgiving.

October 2016

In which Alice turns six, Nathan and Jared cross paths in Las Vegas, Cheri adds a puppy to the family, and Nanna and Dar Dar come trick-or-treating.

September 2016

In which the kids attend the same school (in Kindergarten and third grade), Nathan and the kids visit Bellingham, Nanna and Dar Dar get a new car, Nathan goes to Atlanta to make pancakes, and Gryphon builds an amphitere.

In which we camp at Lake Quinault, and putter around doing fun projects.

July 2016

In which we pick berries, make art, go to Bellingham, get a visit from Mimi and Boppa, and watch a Junco nest via hidden camera.  Oh, and Laura and I go to Italy for a TV appearance, and I finally meet Al and his family on my way home.

June 2016

In which the kids combine the hose with the trampoline, former student Jena brings John to visit, Gryphon and Alice finish Kindergarten and 2nd grade, and we raft through Desolation Canyon on the Green River with Nanna and Dar Dar.

May 2016

In which Nathan and Alice help celebrate Grandpa's 90th birthday in Palm Springs, Gryphon brings earmuffs to a music festival, and Cheri does a bunch of tie-dyeing.

April 2016

In which we travel to Victoria to read, draw, and eat; we visit Bellingham to do much the same; Gryphon turns eight; Mimi and Boppa come for a visit; and Nathan makes pancakes in Washington, D.C.

March 2016

In which Aunt Lolo comes to visit, we make pancakes using a turntable, Alice's Restaurant opens for business, Nanna makes Easter cookies with the kids, Nathan makes pancakes for Good Morning America, and the sound of tiny violins continues to ring in our house.

February 2016

In which Snuggle helps Alice feel better, two tiny violins appear in the house, and we spend a day at Hurricane Ridge.

We lost Meowmers to cancer on the 22nd.  He was the best cat we've known.
