The best part of being bedridden is the afternoon nap with Gryphon. I have also had time to do some video editing for the epic battle between a forest ninja and a woodland wizard. My knee had not yet gone insane when we filmed this.
I've been out of commission for the last week due to a mysterious pain in the back of one knee and thigh. I've been to a doctor and physical therapist multiple times, and am on narcotics to manage the pain. We still don't know the cause. Cheri has been taking care of the family while I writhe on the futon all day, but we have manage to take some short trips around town together. Gryphon met the chickens (whose eggs we've been eating) at Amy and Greg's new house in Vancouver.
Gryphon had a good time playing with Nanna and Dar Dar for the last few days. On the way home we stopped in for dinner with my old roommate Erick and his family.
We've been collecting a large tub of raspberries everyday, and Gryphon has been eating more than his share! We went to the Cunninghams' block party for potluck dinner. Crazy kids of all sizes played in the street.
