Gryphon is 2 years 2 months 2 weeks 2 days today, and he celebrated by putting a #2 in his potty for the 2nd time.

Last night we ate ice cream and watched Flight of the Conchords with Laura.

New Orleans 5

We bid Tad farewell with some beignets from Cafe du Monde last night.


Today we toured the Voodoo Museum and met John Martin, Druid and Voodoo Priest, and his baby python Sam.

Later we went out for dinner and dancing at Mulate's to celebrate our last night in New Orleans

New Orleans 4

Yesterday Cheri, Tad and I went on a cemetary tour in the morning. It was interesting but very hot, so we sought refuge in the Aquarium of the Americas. Chris and Courtney met us for a late lunch at our favorite restaurant, Mother's.

We've enjoyed the air-conditioned trolley, which took us to City Park today (after breakfast at Mother's). The pregnant Cheri tires of walking easily, but that just gives us more excuses to stop and eat and drink!

New Orleans 3

We put on the tuxes this morning and rode the streetcar to the church. Chris and Courtney pulled it off.

Chris and Courtney pulled it off, then got a police escort to the reception.


All this followed a late night on Bourbon Street Thursday and a delicious (and cultural) rehearsal dinner Friday.

Courtney led us on a tour through French Quarter. I started with a glass of absinthe from the young lady above.


There was a downpour as we enjoyed a beignet at Cafe du Monde.

We made it to New Orleans with no problems, and bride-to-be Courtney met us at the airport. Our hotel is right next to the French Quarter, which we'll see tomorrow. Jambalaya and crawfish étouffé was waiting for us at Mother's restaurant.

Let the summer begin

Gryphon and Jonah celebrated at a nearby water park.


We will begin our summer with a wedding in New Orleans, while the grandparents get quality time with Gryphon.

While Cheri tried to deliver another baby, the gentlemen went to the Farmers' Market.

It's about time

Cheri finally graduated from OHSU with her master's in nurse-midwifery. Woo hoo!

Lincoln City

Nanna and Dar Dar spent Memorial weekend with us on the coast. Gryphon liked exploring the beach and searching for seagulls.
