Keyboard

“Hey Cheri, what do you think of this huge keyboard I ordered?” 
“Well, it is what it is.”
 
The speed drawing business is still puttering along (it paid for the keyboard) – sometimes Gryphon even gets in on the act.  Alice caught a 24-hour bug and spent the 28th relaxing.  We wheeled her down to the waterfront to check out some cool sand sculptures.
   
There’s no Indian restaurant here - win some, lose some, but sometimes you Thai.
 

Victoria

On the 24th Tad somehow ended up at our house.  After a cozy Greek dinner with his progenitors, we all headed down to the waterfront for a stroll. 
 
The next morning we took the ferry up to Victoria, B.C.  Luckily Tad brought his iPad so we didn’t have to look out the window.
 

We did a walking tour of the downtown waterfront, beginning with the parliament grounds and Thunderbird Park.
 
  
 
The kids got on the Internet and located the nearest fish and chips for us.
 
 
A water taxi took us back downtown after some more strolling. 
 
Our crew couldn’t handle more touring, so we took the ferry home while the Tads visited The Butchart Gardens and stayed the night.

Antimacassars

On our last trip to Bellingham, I planned to make some headrest covers with pockets.  Luckily Mom took over the project and busted out these beautiful antimacassars – thanks, Moj!
 
On the 23rd we met had dinner at the hospital.  Gryphon got to choose a treat for finishing his food.  Alice needed one too – I thought the cookie would be the least messy.
 
We had seashell pancakes on the 24th – I’ll show you more once I figure out their names.

Indian food

 
The kindly Schofield family invited us for an Indian dinner Saturday evening.  Mmmm-mm-mm-mm.
 
Lucy and Jameson played host at the children’s very own table.
 
 
 

The following morning we picked up a high chair at IKEA (having left ours in Saipan), and headed to Vancouver for some more Indian food!  Aunt Alyson joined us at Namaste.
 
From there we paid a visit to Cheri’s Granny and Grandpa.  Gryphon and Boppa kept an eye out for monsters.
 

Brewcycle

 
Last weekend we ventured down to Portland for a visit with Cheri’s family.  Tad ended up there too, with a 15-person bicycle.  We pedaled the Brewcycle between pubs for a couple of hours.  Meanwhile, Cheri and her dad worked on our tax return – I got the better end of that deal.
 
 
That afternoon Gryphon turned into a cowboy. 
 
At Delta Café the kids cooked us up some plastic food while we waited to be seated. 
 
Afterward there were treats to be had, including presents from Uncle Jared and Aunt Alyson!
