Schofield barbecue

When Cheri woke up this evening, following 26 hours at the hospital, we walked over to the Schofields for a delicious barbecue. Gryphon was pleased to find there were several other babies there.

Help!

Cheri's hospital shifts have helped us to appreciate the assistance we receive from all of Gryphon's grandparents. Nanna Jo and Dar Dar made a trip down yesterday. Today we stopped at the burrito van for dinner, which we ate in the cemetery.

Memorial weekend

Gryphon is proving to be a sickly baby. He had an ER visit again, but the cause of his fever was not determined.

He began to feel better when he heard there would be a barbecue at the grandparents' house.
Afterward, we headed for Bellingham.

Gryphon's health continued to improve.

Dar Dar checked him out.

Now he is back to his old self.

Busy times

Jonah stopped by on Friday to show how he can balance.

Cheri had a 24-hour shift, so the dudes had a barbecue.

Now Gryphon has a fever, and has spent a lot of time sleeping on people.

Good little Blumper

Gryphon has been getting over a cold lately, and sprouting new teeth too. He spent the day with Tenia, his Chilean nanny, then came home and took a five o'clock nap. Or so we thought - when he was still asleep at eight, I went in to wake him up for dinner, but he kept sleeping in my arms so I put him back in bed. Almost every night after he goes to sleep, Cheri and I have this exchange:
"He's a good little baby."
"Yeah he is."

New decorating scheme

We have redecorated our living room in toddler chic, using foam tiles that Cheri found at Ross. We cut up some pool noodles and taped them to the couch legs.

Cheri had her second 24-hour shift at the hospital, during which time she delivered two babies.
