This morning Mimi watched Gryphon while Cheri and I did some work for our various assessments. Later Gryphon gave himself a tattoo. Jared and Alyson came over and made use some delicious pizza. Jonah hung out as well. Gryphon continues to grow.
Gryphon likes his swing almost as much as examining and throwing gravel from his tray. During a trip to Powell's I had to decide between a book about general words and a book about trucks. I went with the general, but he's interested only in the the page about vehicles. We've since added several more books to the collection, including: Farm Machines My First Tractor Board Book My First Things That Go Construction Zone
We noticed Gryphon beginning to get a speckled rash a couple of days ago, and it spread much farther today. We suspect strawberry allergy, but will take him to the doctor tomorrow. It doesn't seem to bother him.
Jonah came to play for a few hours yesterday, and Gryphon returned the favor this evening while Cheri and I finally got around to seeing Avatar. Gryphon had a good nap in the afternoon that allowed me to do some reading. Flashback. Gryphon's been doing a loud fake laugh when he thinks laughing is appropriate but doesn't find anything funny: Here's the real laugh: Gryphon also learned how to do the push-button switch on his switchboard yesterday.
We had a nice dinner Thursday with Mimi and Boppa (Cheri's parents, named by Gryphon) and James and Stephanie. Gryphon's dining abilities have improved, but he still needs to run around after about 10 minutes. Having filled up at Namaste, Gryphon slept for 3 hours (mostly on Cheri), and played all evening.
