Our thoughts are with Nathan's cousin Heather; we wish her a quick recovery after the birth of her child, Natalie, on June 26.

Matt Robbins arrived in Portland after a two-week bike trek from Helena. He joined Tad and Nathan on an afternoon raft trip.



We enjoyed some vegetarian cuisine with Cheri afterward.

Gryphon continues to grow.

Toys

Gryphon has been doing more than just eat and sleep lately. He'll lie on a blanket and look around, so we made him this toy dangler. He likes it, though he can't quite control his arms yet.

Goodbye, Tippy

Tippy left for a new home today. She loves people, but not other dogs, and Bijou has been suffering. Tippy will be keeping an old man company at his nursing home, and won't have to share him with others. We were very sad.


Here she is when we adopted her from the humane society almost two years ago.


She was a good nanny to Gryphon.

First Fathers Day

This evening we attended a farewell party for some of our friends, who will be teaching in Brazil for a couple of years. Gryphon liked dancing with the marimba band.

Unhappy

Gryphon's parents have been taking turns getting sick, but so far he seems to remain healthy. He's been wanting to eat every couple of hours, and doesn't appreciate slow service.


Gryphon has been enjoying his cloth diapers. It's nice not to be throwing out so much trash.

Cheri got a little too excited about the movie Sweeney Todd as we watched it a few nights ago.
