New things

With our anniversary tree indicating a changing season, Gryphon has been bundling up a more lately. Here he sports his Pooh-ear hood.

The "hold" button on Nathan's iPod broke, so the buttons are now covered with an attractive steel door.

Cheri suggested calling Nathan's latest instrument the "lion-hearted guitarted," but it didn't catch on.

Nice day

Nathan has contracted the cold that's been making its rounds in the family, but it was too nice out to pass up some yardwork.

Just the dudes

Cheri began working at the Parry Center earlier this week, and is in training for most of the weekend. The two dudes went for a 4-hour walk around the neighborhood, visiting Gryphon's friend Jonah and a number of retail establishments. Here Gryphon relates the drama of the "freak-out crying" episode of thirty minutes prior.

We stopped for pizza on the way home.

Gryphon says this isn't a very flattering photo; we disagree.

Cranky baby

Gryphon has been unseasonably cantankerous today. Luckily, his aunt Bethany came to make him feel better.

Passport

Gryphon's passport arrived today. We may need to use it to escape if Obama doesn't win.

Extra help

Nanna Jo came to visit for a few days. The extra help with Gryphon was much appreciated - Nathan got to nap after school, where he dances all day in a striped hat:

Hard work

While Cheri and I hauled dirt and manure around the yard for the new raised vegetable beds, Gryphon kept his grandparents busy as well. He hasn't been napping well during the day, but after our Lebanese dinner he collapsed in a sleeping heap. It might have been the hummus we fed him at the restaurant to keep him calm.

Back at school

Nathan was back at school today, doing precalculus, calculus, and team-teaching three freshman algebra classes. The students are good, but the some classes are too large (39).

Gryphon helped work in the yard a bit this evening. He has started making some more -interesting- squawking sounds.
